Mars: An Architecture of Terra-formation

Selected Student Work:

Daryl Anais Toy
Jacob Wigton

Mars, surface mining with time lines on this mystery world. How can one touch and begin to dream of a place, of a smell, just from a photograph of a strange and foreign atmospheric Space?. The photograph, became static , a frozen moment. Each student began to image a world before that frozen moment or even after. Time mutations of place, drawing upon the transformation. Extracted a physical reading of this transformation, holding and attempting to grasp its past, present and future. Having these times collapse onto a vehicle that can hold its memories, the present and its future dreams. How can the past shape the future, or the present the past? Through model making and drawings each student explored the idea of constant time mutation and its influence on its self, a place, a new world such as Mars and Architecture.
