Eric Tan (’09) named “2013 Young Gun”

Emergent talent and leadership.

Eric Tan was recently recognized by the Curbed Network as one of the “2013 Young Guns“. Gensler Principal Maddy Burke-Vigeland, who has worked with Tan on a number of projects, says:

“As a young architect, he is engaging, he crosses disciplines, he connects with clients, he connects with interns… he’s a natural leader in addition to just being incredibly talented,”

Eric Tan graduated in 2009 from Rensselaer,  where participated in off-campus CASE program. He has worked for Terreform1, Henning Larsen Architects, before joining Gensler. He is also part of the international architecture collective PinkCloud.DK.

The Curbed Young Guns are “a group of some of the most talented young architects, interior designers, and developers in the country (…) These are the junior statesmen of the design world who have already distinguished themselves in a notable way (…) . All are 35 or under, currently employed in the United States, and show extraordinary promise for decades to come.”
