Saunders + Robofold
Browns Fellowship’13:
ROBOTIC LATTICE SMOCK.
Assistant Professor Andrew Saunders recently collaborated with Robofold (London, UK) in a design-research project with the support of SoA-RPI’s Browns Fellowship. Industrial design studio Robofold is one of “2013 Emerging Design Studio” nominees by ICON Magazine. Specialized curved folding techniques and robotic fabrication methods , the studio has been providing prototype for leading firms, such as Foster, Amanda Lavette and Zaha Hadid’s 2012 Venice Biennale exhibition.
