Lonn Combs to Receive Alumni Award at University of Kentucky.
Assistant Professor Lonn Combs will receive the 2015 Distinguished Alumni Award for Professional Achievement at a celebratory event on March 26th, 2015, at the University of Kentucky College of Design. The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor conferred upon a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Design, and it recognizes alumni who have made significant contributions to society and whose career and accomplishment have brought distinction to their profession, local community and the College of Design. Professor Combs is being recognized for his creativity, innovation, leadership, and vision in professional, societal, academic and artistic contributions that will have a lasting effect.
Professor Combs completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Kentucky College of Design and his Master of Architecture in Advanced Architectural Design at Columbia University. He has been a faculty member in the Rensselaer School of Architecture since 2011, and he has been directing the school’s M. Arch I program since 2013.
