Schools of Engineering and Architecture The Schools of Engineering and Architecture are jointly seeking applications for the Bedford Professorship, a three-year visiting chair at the rank of Professor in the field of Advanced Building Systems. Applicants must be committed to interdisciplinary education, practice and research and be able to demonstrate exemplary experience in the design and construction of progressive buildings. Candidates must also have expertise in building systems and systems integration, and in technologies supporting sustainable approaches to design and construction. An earned doctorate will be a significant plus. Of equal value will be extensive and exemplary practical experience in collaborative and innovative engineering/architectural initiatives. A commitment to both architecture and engineering is a must. The successful candidate will be expected to teach interdisciplinary courses and engage in research and scholarship. In addition, it is assumed that she or he will help spearhead the development of a joint school graduate program in Advanced Building Systems.
