Architecture Rensselaer
Master Science (M.S.) in Architectural Sciences - Building Ecologies

The School of Architecture at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute offers a one-year program for a Master of Science in Ecological Building Systems. This degree program is designed for those individuals with backgrounds in architecture or other fields who are interested in engaging interdisciplinary studies that focus on the development of new strategies. The core of the program involves the development of an individual thesis project, developed in close collaboration with a thesis advisor. A wide variety of interdisciplinary issues can be studied, provided that there are faculty members available to guide the specific study. Examples include the investigation of emerging building technologies, issues related to communities and technology, etc. Applicants are strongly encouraged to express their specific interests upon application. The program's curriculum is designed to meet the individual needs of students. A substantial part of the curriculum consists of concentration electives in support of a specific field of inquiry.
