INAUGURAL KARENE FAUL ALUMNI EXHIBITION OPENS AT ESTHER MASSRY GALLERY

The Esther Massry Gallery at The College of Saint Rose presents the inaugural Karene Faul Alumni Exhibition. The exhibit is named for Karene Tarquin Faul who has served the College’s Art Department for more than 38 years, 25 of them as department chair.

This tribute is made possible through a fund-raising initiative by College art alumni.

Summer gallery hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Sunday noon-4 p.m., closed Saturday. In addition, the gallery will be open for First Fridays, June 5 and September 4, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. The gallery will be closed August 2-September 3 and September 6-7 (Labor Day weekend). All events are free and open to the public.

The exhibition features works by 10 outstanding artists ranging from recent graduates to several who have been working professionally for many years. Their academic experiences at Saint Rose span three decades: Bill Bergman ’93, Colin Boyd ’02, Brian Cirmo ’99, Richard Garrison ’93, Thomas Lail ’89, Patrick Neal ’89, Sergio Sericolo ’88, Aimee Tarasek ’04, Kris Corso Tolmie ’88 and Marie Triller ’78. Their works represent a variety of disciplines including printmaking, painting, photography, drawing, mixed media and sculpture. All 10 artists continued on from Saint Rose to earn master of fine arts degrees at Alfred University, Cornell University, University at Albany, State University of New York at New Paltz and Yale University.
