ACSA Student Design Competitions


Objects: a design competition. Due May 2, 2016

The Center for American Architecture and Design at the School of Architecture at The University of Texas at Austin is proud to announce its new design Competition, OBJECTS, and its upcoming symposium The Secret Life of Buildings. The OBJECTS competition judges include Graham Harman, Ian Bogost, Leslie Van Duzer, Levi Bryant, Winka Dubbledam, Jorge Otero-Pailos, Albena Yaneva. The Symposium will also include Timothy Morton and Craig Dykers.  The OBJECTS proposal deadline is May 2, 2016.

2014 Berkley Prize Essay Competition Due Nov 1, 2013

An essay contest in three stages open to all current full-time registered students ina n undergraduate architecture degree program,undergraduates majoring in architecture,or diploma students in accredited schools of archiecture workdwide.  $15,000 USD purse.    For more inforamtion:

12th Annual Steel Student Design Competition

ACSA and AISC are pleased to announce the 2011-12 steel design student competition. 2011-12 Habitat for Humanity Student Design Competition

ACSA is pleased to announce The Sustainable Home: Habitat for Humanity Student Design Competition sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and The Vinyl Institute (VI), the program engages young professionals in Habitat for Humanity’s effort to eliminate poverty housing by advancing the design of simple, decent, healthy, and affordable homes. Competition participants will design a Habitat house that is appropriate for a specific locale (East, South, Midwest, West). In doing so, the designers will face the stated criteria for a Habitat house: Simple, Decent, and Affordable. + LEARN MORE

2011-12 Sustainable Laboratory International Student Design Competition
