Architectural Intern

Summary of Duties:

  • Responsible for design and document production (drafting)
  • Assist the project team by taking notes and preparing handouts, etc.

The Architectural Intern should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Be enrolled in a 4-year or 5-year degree from an accredited program in Architecture
  • Either already have previous experience with – or demonstrate learning ability – using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Architectural Designer I

Project Architect/Technical Coordinator

Summary of Duties:

  • Develop the concept, design, and documentation for the project, having direct communication with the client/Owner as deemed appropriate by the Project Manager
  • Develop and lead the implementation of the architectural design process and coordinate with the entire project team
  • Oversee creation of graphic presentation to assist in conveyance of design concept, either by creating the graphic personally or coordinating the completion of the graphic presentation
  • Coordinate with engineering disciplines including, but not limited to, mechanical, structural, electrical, fire protection, civil, and environmental engineering divisions
  • Meet with client/owner and on a regular basis to communicate the project design. Responsible for preparations, facilitating, and follow-ups to such meetings.
  • Perform, delegate, and coordinate the completion of tasks required to implement the design and construction of the project and as decided on at meetings
  • Assist and provide updates to Principal-In-Charge, Project Manager, and Architectural Designers to make sure the design concept is brought through to completion

The Project Architect/Technical Coordinator should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Possess a 4-year or 5-year degree from an accredited program in Architecture
  • Have 4-8 years of architectural experience. It is preferred that the experience be in educational, housing, and/or mixed use project types but all candidates will be considered based on overall experience and skills.
  • Demonstrate strong abilities with organization, proactive learning, attention to detail, and efficient working habits
  • Have previous professional experience – and be a proficient with – using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Illustrator

This position includes:

  • assisting the artistic director and his team in all the aspects of their work;
  • gathering all the necessary documentation from the clients;
  • starting to translate CADs, drawings and architectural sketches into 3D models in 3DS MAX;
