MENTORSHIP PROGRAM : WELCOME CELEBRATION_

Next Monday, September 11th 6:30pm, in the Gallery, the Rensselaer Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS) will host the 2017 Mentorship Program Welcome Celebration. First Year Students will have the opportunity to meet their mentor, the rest of the student body, and learn more about student organizations they may become involved in (CanStruction, NOMAS, and Design for America). The event welcomes everyone to participate in an hour of networking, music, and Food!

There are three main purposes of the annual student-led Mentorship Program:

  1. To cultivate a culture of interdependence and connectivity within the School of Architecture.
  2. To help freshman students adjust to the beginning of their college careers.
  3. To build bonds between class years that may otherwise never form.

In order for upperclassmen to receive a mentee assignment, they must complete Mentor Survey by Sep 7th. All first years will receive a Mentor. The Mentee Survey exists to assist with mentor-mentee matching, and should also be completed by Sep 7th.
