“Intuitive Ground”_

Rensselaer School of Architecture is launching its Fall 2021 Lecture Series. The series star this Monday September 13th at noon with the online lecture “Intuitive Ground” by Chinese architect Xi Chen.

Xi is the founder of Shenzhen based Atelier Xi. He graduated from the Department of Architecture of Tsinghua University in Beijin and Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Currently teaches at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Shenzhen University. From 2009 to 2016 he worked at Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) in Copenhagen, and Steven Holl Architects in NYC — during that period he served as project architect for more than 10 museums and cultural projects. In 2017 he was Director of the International Department of the Original Design and Research Center of Shenzhen University, leading th design of the Domino Pavilion for the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Biennale and a series of competition works. Chen Xi is also a Registered architect in New York State and member of American Institute of Architects.
